Ashley Valenzuela-Carrington Ashley Valenzuela-Carrington was named Coordinator of the Early Learning Center, Waldorf, in 2024. She graduated from Bowie State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Special Education. She returned to Bowie State University to earn her Master of Education in Elementary Education. Mrs. Carrington went on to attend Trinity Washington University where she earned her endorsements in School Administration and a specialist field for Pupil Personnel Worker. Mrs. Carrington began her teaching career at T.C. Martin Elementary School in 2010 as a pre-kindergarten special education teacher. During her time at T.C. Martin, she also taught first grade. In 2015, Mrs. Carrington was named as T.C. Martin’s Exemplary Employee of the Year. Mrs. Carrington moved into an assistant principal role at Walter J. Mitchell Elementary School in 2018. In 2023, Mrs. Carrington was named Charles County Public Schools Assistant Principal of the Year. She continued to serve the Walter J. Mitchell community until the opening of the Early Learning Center in Waldorf in 2024. |
