What is the Title I Early Childhood Program?
Title I Early Childhood Program strive to support ELCW students through family engagement activities, parent training, and school readiness resources for use at home. Title I supports include the following:

Provide a variety of instructional resources to families that will assist them in developing their child’s school readiness skills through the Lending Library located in the Parent Resource Room. Parents can check out school readiness kits and activities that promote skill development in cognition, fine motor, language and literacy, math, and science.

Through the Parent Resource Center families can access valuable information that connects them with community partners and organizations. These partners offer programs that support early childhood development through enrichment activities and interventions, while also helping families meet basic needs through comprehensive wrap-around services.

Provide Parent and Family Engagement Events and Parent Training to support parents in the development of their child’s school readiness skills. Materials of instruction, food and food supplies may be purchased based on the number of RSVPs for families only.

Summer backpacks or learning kits are provided at the end of the school year so families can continue to support learning over the break and combat the summer slide. Kits may include social emotional learning tools, books, math manipulatives, and other learning games.
